Am I basically optimistic, pessimistic, realistic?
This sounds like the "glass half full or half empty" view of life. I don't think that the choice is that simple. I think realism is not a third choice but the balance between the two. There are times that we see nothing but sunshine ---- but we need to have times of "yes,but..." to see life accurately. So, I guess I would say that I am a realist who is both optimistic and pessimistic.
