Do I make hobbies a substitute for accomplishment?
I think hobbies ARE an outlet for accomplishment. If the question is, are hobbies a substitute for business or relationship accomplishment that would be different. Not everybody can be truly fulfilled at work, so having balance and satisfaction avocationally is a good thing.
