Dear Fred
I have tried many times to set goals and manage my time --after a few weeks or sometimes days I fail and give up feeling flat. What am I missing?
Fred's Response
You are having the same problem as the many people who make new years resolutions to lose weight but drop the diet as soon as it becomes inconvenient or unpleasant. It is a matter of will-power. Until you decide definitely to abide by your decision not matter the obstacles, you will fail. Will-power is part of character. You need to strengthen your character by exercising your will. Anyone who is successful in almost any pursuit, do so through the discipline of will-power. Prayer may help but remember that God will not do for us what we can do for ourselves at the same time of not letting do for ourselves what only he can do. If you have the ability to go for a short period then you must develop the ability for the long run. It will not be easy but it is possible.
