I just read with interest your thought about "God Bless America." I've been thinking that our mantra should be "America, Bless God." Your thoughts on this?

The question is whether God is on our side or if we are on God’s side. I have never thought about blessing God because He is sovereign. I can only obey him to please Him. I believe blessing God is a little like humanizing God. I am more concerned with how we can get His blessing than how to bless Him. I do not believe, being sovereign, that He needs our blessing. As we read, He is more pleased with obedience then sacrifice.
