Dear Fred
I am trying to explain the accuracy of the bible. How it has not lost creditablilty thru translation and time. Also How is it the word of God and not a remote chance that man put their 2 cents in as they were writing it. And how does the book of Mormans play into all of this? I know nothing about the book nor its origin.
Fred's Response
Since I totally accept the Bible by faith I have never felt any need for human validation. I find that in divine revelation I must do before I know. In human situations I expect to know before I do. The times that I have doubted certain passages I find that in reality I just don’t want to obey and so I use doubt to avoid obedience. I have found that I cannot bargain with God. I will not know until I agree to do what He says. Two websites that might be helpful are www.bible.org and the archives of Ray Stedman on the website of Peninsula Bible Church in Palo Alto, CA. I am not familiar enough with the Mormon religion to comment.
